The Senate Committee on Finance which investigated the NNPC over allegations of fraud leveled against it by the suspended Governor of the Central Bank, Mallam Lamido Sanusi, today Wednesday May 28th submitted its report to the Senate saying no funds were missing, The Will Nigeria reports.
Sanusi had spuriously claimed in a leaked letter to President Goodluck that $49.8 billion in crude oil revenue was missing.
The detailed report according to sources at the Senate also cleared the NNPC and the Ministry of Petroleum of any wrong doing.
The report however directed the NNPC and the Ministry of Finance as well as other relevant agencies to reconcile a sum believed to be around $300 million dollars.

When this disgraced, shameless and fraudulent banker called Sanusi - who has poor knowledge of simple arithmetic said that $49.9billion was unaccounted for by NNPC. Gullible Nigerians believed him, maybe because they read a PAID article sponsored by Sanusi and scumbag Nasir El-Rufai on The New York Times concerning this false story. We told them that this guy is a serial liar, and can go to any length to keep deceiving the gullible, but they didn't listen.
This sacked CBN governor changed his story to $10.8 billion when he was challenged. As usual, the same myopic Nigerians believed him. We laughed because we already know the antics and gimmicks of those with born-to-rule disease - a disease that makes you to abduct, bomb and massacre innocent Nigerians when your region loses out in the power game.
This dude with poor knowledge of Mathematics came back again and said it is $12 billion. As usual and like people under a spell - these highly brainwashed Nigerians believed him. But, we asked him, is it your final answer?
