The woman who is
accusing
Fuji musician Obesere of raping her is claiming that the police is
pressuring her to drop the case. She also said she's been getting death
threats and has relocated to her village out of fear for her life and to

police source also disclosed that Obesere found it difficult to
pressurize the DPO at Isolo into striking out the matter or persuade the
victim to accept a settlement.
The source, who craved anonymity,
also said Obesere contacted some top citizens to wade into the matter by
persuading the DPO to soft-pedal on the matter but they backed down
when they discovered that the police have incriminating evidence against
the musician.

Olalekan Ige, committed suicide on Monday March 3rd after allegedly
being jilted by a girl.
Dipo was found dead in his apartment at the Asherifa area of Ile-Ife on Monday evening. He'd killed himself with poison.
The student who is said to be above average academically had been
threatening to kill himself for weeks before he finally did. According
to his friends, Dipo's girlfriend of almost a year broke things off with
him in early February and all means to get her back didn't work.

Former Minister of Aviation, Femi
Fani-Kayode, was today March 6th re-arraigned for alleged N100 million money laundering. Premium Times reports that Fani-Kayode told a Federal High court in Lagos that he was
not guilty of all the 40 counts of money laundering instituted against
him by EFCC
The trial judge, Rita Ofili-Ajumogobia, fixed March 10, 17, 18 and 19 for the trial.
The EFCC is accusing Mr. Fani-Kayode, who was also a former Minister
of Culture and Tourism, of money laundering. The commission had amended
its 47-count charge, totalling N230 million, to a 40-count charge of
N100 million.

Boko Haram gunmen returned late last night to Mafa and Ajiri villages in
Borno State to attack the villagers but this time they met their match.
Soldiers guarding the villages and neighbouring ones opened fire on the
insurgents, killing at least 20 of them. But instead of retreating, eye
witnesses said the Boko Haram members came in their hundreds and
engaged the military men in a gun battle.
Fortunately the military men overpowered them, killed many of them and
seized different calibers of machine guns and improvised
explosive devices from them, this is according to the Director of
Defence Information, Maj. Gen Chris Olukolade. He said some soldiers,
who were from the 7th Division of the Nigerian Army in Maiduguri, were
injured in the battle but no soldier was killed.
A pregnant South Carolina mom drove a van full of her young children
into the ocean on Tuesday March 4th hours after she was interrogated by
police for behaving strangely and scaring her children.
Lifeguards at the beach rescued the woman, believed to be mentally
disturbed, and her three children aged, 3, 9 and 10 from the ocean after
they heard the children screaming from the back of the van.

illegitimate son ... at least that's the claim after an alleged DNA test
turned up a match.
According to the test results -- obtained by
Alki David and his company, FilmOn.com - Brandon Howard is almost
certainly Michael's son. David told TMZ Live he got MJ's dental
impression from a Beverly Hills doctor that he got at an auction. The
impression is 30 years old but David says its filled with DNA.
Brandon - who now goes by B Howard and looks and acts very much like Michael
- was not present for the unveiling, but David says he had Howard's DNA
and it matched up.

13 students of Ogba Junior Grammah

after inhaling an unidentified poisonous fumes discharged from one of
the cottage factories in Ogba Shopping Arcade, Vanguard reports.
This came four
months after 25 of the students of the same school collapsed after
inhaling an unidentified chemical waste discharged into drainage by a Photo Laboratory, situated in the Shopping Arcade.

It was gathered that the woman delivered her baby early yesterday
morning in the hands of nurses and midwives at the said hospital.
Recall that only on Monday, a woman had given birth to a monkey-like baby at the same hospital.
A health worker at the hospital told journalists that the baby which later died after delivery was born abnormal.
