The producer and director of Mirror Boy and Last Flight to Abuja, Obi Emelonye, announced on his Facebook page a few minutes ago that he's been arrested in Lagos for filming in the Ikeja area...

Nigeria's Chief of Defense Staff Air Marshall Alex Badeh today said that the Nigeria military has been able to locate the 200+ girls abducted in Chibok on April 14th but will not use force to rescue them because that could put the girls in great danger as the insurgents could kill them.

Who knew she was that grown? The proud mama shared the photo on her Facebook page and wrote "Congratulation to my son Ojayy on graduating. Im so proud!". Congrats to him!

All these alakoba friends.. lol. Earlier this month, we heard that Apple Electronics was in talks to buy Dr Dre's headphone company Beats by Dre for $3.2billion. Then his friend, singer/actor Tyrese shot a video with Dre where he predicted that the rapper/music producer would become the first billionaire in Hip Hop. Well, weeks later industry insiders claim the deal may no longer be on the table because Apple execs were absolutely horrified by Dre and Tyrese's celebratory crypt walk

Good for him! :-)

Nigerian journalist, Ahmad Salkida, who previously worked for Daily Trust and Premium Times and reported extensively on Boko Haram, fled Nigeria to Dubai 2 years ago after being accused of being a Boko Haram sympathizer. He said he fled after 'his life and that of his family became endangered' after security agencies began to mistake his in-depth reporting on the terrorist group as evidence of his closeness to them. He went underground for several weeks before finally fleeing Nigeria. Salkida was perhaps the only Nigerian journalist/civilian to have access to Boko Haram, and he said at the time that he'd turned down Boko Haram's many requests for him to publish exclusive interviews and materials for them.

Anyway according to new reports, the Nigerian government flew him back home a few weeks ago to negotiate with Boko Haram on their behalf, since he's the only civilian who has allegedly seen Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau and come out alive. He reportedly came back home after the Nigerian government assured him that he will not be arrested. (See his tweets). Continue...

A 38 year old nursery school teacher who was arrested yesterday for defiling three minors says he's not to blame so much because one of the minors made passes at him. Olayinka Oluwadare Folarin, (pictured above) took the young girls to the school toilet where he sexually molested them. Speaking during his interrogation yesterday, the paedoaphile said a little girl was the first to make a pass at him
"One of them made advances at me. You know how children play with you in a funny way. This thing is beyond me.” he said
Mr Folarin, who has been arrested before for molesting children, said he believes he's under some demonic attack that pushes him to commit the act and so shouldn't be judged
"I have been doing this for a long time. I feel terribly bad each time I did it but I could not stop it. Why don’t you find a way of helping me. Is this meant to expose me? Some people should just think and reason with me. The person who has not sinned before should cast the first stone. If God did not forsake some people, I know he would not forsake me. I am a changed person now.” Continue...
On how he carried out his evil act, Folarin said he would invite the little girls into the toilet, place them on the wash hand basin, lubricate their vagina with his hair cream, fondle them but says he never penetrated them with his manhood, a claim the police is refuting because medical examination on the little girls show their hymen was not intact.

Former beauty queen/actress Regina Askia Williams wrote an interesting piece about the Nigerian woman and the societal pressures and demands placed on her and shared it on her Facebook page. It's an interesting read. Find it below...
I just read a social media fight between two people I know and I chuckle to myself because my friend was blowing some hot words there - she was really vexed. Reading through the literary missiles, a few questions came to mind. Why is it that, generally when Nigerians fight their profanity centers around a woman's marital status, her age and to top off the insults, her private parts? Are these the yardsticks that we measure our women by? The marital status thing. Does it mean when a woman is not married she has no identity, she is less of a person or what? For a Nigerian woman to get any type of respect there has to be a man in the picture in what ever capacity? So it does not matter if you are wife number 6 at least you are wife? There is a vulgar saying that goes "Toto wey nobody get, na everybody get am". For real? That pretty much means that a woman unattached is nothing but a mobile body part that anyone can do anything to or with.....chaaii!!

A German newspaper - Bild today published the bare butt of the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, which will no doubt attract the wrath of the royal family. The picture was taken during Kate and her husband Prince William’s recent tour of Australia when a gust of wind briefly caught her dress. Of course the British media reported it but didn't carry the uncensored pic. Hehe...I'm not British..lol so check on the uncensored pic after the cut...
