As our photographs show, this looks like a parrot sat on it’s perch but a take a closer look and you will see it’s actually a painted woman.
Former world champion body painter Johannes, 35, who lives in Italy, spent four hours painting a female model from head to toe to look like a red macaw.
The woman’s outstretched leg become the bird’s tail feathers and by putting her arm over her head she creates it’s head.
It took four hours to paint the model but the results are spectacular and even Johannes friends who are familiar with his work were fooled.
But he isn’t the only master of illusion as you will see in our gallery…
Road to hell: Artist Edgar Mueller
transformed an ordinary street in his native Germany into an apocalyptic
scene that could have come straight out of a Hollywood movie. Mueller
created the 3D art work for a street painting contest.
Sliding building: This derelict building
actually looks like it is sliding into the street but is in fact a work
of art by Alex Chinneck.
Frog: Stötter put his talent to good work
again when he created this stunning frog in the rain forest. One of his
more ambitious projects, he used five models.
Tiger: Body artist Craig Tracy, from New
Orleans, Louisiana, created this crouching tiger out of three naked
women who spent a whole day posing for him. The South China tiger piece
was made to raise awareness of the endangered species. Tracy, who has
got a host of celebrity clients, says he is never short of models
willing to pose for him and has painted hundreds of bodies.
Banana split: London based advertising
photographer Ray Massey joined forces with talented body painting
experts Annie Miller and Annie Ralli to create this banana split with a
difference. A model’s hands have been painted yellow and her finger
nails brown to create the tip.
