Two robbers in the American state of Maryland had no concern for the condition of their pregnant victim when they held her up at gunpoint.
The unidentified expectant mother was said to already be in labour when she was stopped by the hoodlums in the Annapolis area of the state.
24-year-old Devery Kelley and 44-year-old Cornell Robinson were arrested for the crime after a witness called the police.
Huffington Post reports:
A witness saw the woman and her partner being held up by two suspected robbers at 4:30 am on Sunday and called police, WBAL-TV reports.
The two were able to point police in the direction of the suspects. Police say 24-year-old Devery Kelley of Annapolis and 44-year-old Cornell Robinson of Washington fled in a stolen car, threw a gun out the window during the chase and eventually ditched the car and ran. Both were captured and charges are pending, CBS Baltimore notes.
The pregnant woman, who has not been identified, was taken to Anne Arundel Medical Center. There are no updates on her condition.
